I have no knowledge of this guy but 12 tours is just unfathomable to me as someone who is never in the military. This part just sounds so sad: “Marckesano’s suicide was the 30th from this battalion.”

30 suicides from 1 battalion???????

There’s a lot here in the article about suicides by Vets - 20 per day is the average it says. Tragic.
