To be fair: most manufactures sell their filters $50-$70 w/replacement every 6mo. Most offer a filter bypass...Most. 😉

Yes, but the bypass is just that- unfiltered, unless you use an external filter.

Stay away from Samsung--lots of problems with icing of the condenser
