shopping local first for over a decade and therefore haven’t changed my buying habits much. I do shop Walmart, but only when I’m convinced that my other stores don’t have what I need and driving further would be a waste of gas. Not because it’s convenient. We have discussions at our table about what China is doing and why it’s not right, among other relevant social issues. As a healthcare provider (not a doc) living in a small town I have limited influence. I don’t pay for cable despite enjoying sports because I don’t want to support the leagues and their greed, but I know I’m not immune. So, I choose to share my displeasure in my own formats but I’m not going to pretend I’m out fighting some huge fight to change the world.
The NBA on the other hand. Is pretending to take up the banner of social justice with all of its power and influence, except when the $$s say it’s not good business. I find that disgusting.
