He said FBS teams probably wouldn't drop down to the FCS level which makes sense
but that would be a voluntary choice. What if they can't afford to field enough other sports to qualify for FBS status? Does the NCAA force them out? Stanford just dropped 11 sports. Many schools are barely fielding enough now.
