I’m convinced the P5 conferences will play and most of the G5 conferences
as well. JC, D2 and even FCS schools could theoretically punt but they don’t make money playing and have less incentive to have the season.

They really only need to play 6 games to get to a conference championship scenario which is a big TV revenue source so my intuition tells me that they’ll find a way between Sept. 5th and Dec. 12th to play at least 6 games.

15 weeks to play at least 6 times and in theory you could extend that even more into Jan or Feb if need be. No contracts and complete flexibility within their conferences to move and adjust games due to hotspots. Vaccines moving forward at a breakneck pace, mortality rates falling as we learn to better treat those affected, pro leagues establishing best practices and proving it can be done AND of course the money for these schools to survive and political reasons that follow it.

They’ll play...almost certainly IMO.
