Week 1 - At Oklahoma State

The neutral game in Dallas that Alabama lost against USC is what everyone immediately pointed to. But TCU is too easy of a match for that game as they get to stay close to home, bring a crowd (as much as they can) and avoid the trip to California.

Oklahoma State lost a home game against fellow OSU of the Oregon variety. BYU stepping in for the Beavers is too easy of a call and it gives us a Big 12 matchup which has been a rare occurrence in the age of independence.

Week 2 - Vs Iowa State

Iowa State is the best option here as another Big 12 opponent. They weren't going to be leaving the state for their Week 2 rivalry matchup at Iowa, but best hope is that they won't keep themselves in the cornfield on 9/12. The Syracuse Orange are set to be in Jersey against Rutgers. Doubt they replace that with a jaunt cross country. Virginia Tech lost a home game against Penn State as well. Doubt they switch that into a road game.

Week 3 - At Texas A&M

Syracuse is an option here again as they lost an FCS opponent in Colgate. But will BYU go to upstate NY when they could go to Kyle Field for the first time in more than 40 years. The A&M AD is already pimping the idea and the Aggie press is eating it up.

Week 4 - Vs Miami

Why not celebrate the 30th anniversary of the greatest win in BYU history with a return from the Hurricanes? Bring back as many of the 1990 team as possible and make it a real show. Plus, we get a home game where a road game was. Miami was scheduled to be at Michigan State. Provo is just an extra hour and a half of flight time.

Weeks 5-12 Remain the Same

Vs USU

At Boise State
Vs SDSU
Vs No. Alabama

Week 13 - Vs Notre Dame

The ACC has said that they will give Notre Dame as many games as they need. But all 14 ACC teams have big games scheduled in Week 13:
- NC State at North Carolina (Fri, 11/27)
- BC at Wake Forest
- Duke at Miami
- Syracuse at Pitt
- UVa at Virginia Tech
- Florida at Florida State
- Georgia Tech at Georgia
- Kentucky at Louisville
- South Carolina at Clemson

Nowhere for the Irish to go to replace their road game at USC. Original contract had them visiting Provo by 2020. Now they have their chance to fulfill what they promised.

Suddenly, BYU has 8 home games, 6 P5 opponents, a real showcase for the best team in Sitake's tenure, and a proper sendoff for guys like Tonga and Bushman who came back for their senior campaigns:
