We just flew southwest. Still no assigned seats. Can’t pick a middle seat

unless you part of the same group. Only water and nuts and should wear masks. Other than that it’s the same as normal.

What is the purpose of checking in for a flight? Is there any advantage in checking in early?

Delta basic economy doesn’t assign seats till you check in.
