My dad died long ago, before he was 50. I doubt Mom has much beyond what she needs to keep paying her bills and maybe a paid off house. But with a bunch of sibs, I'll be surprised if I see much of anything once bills are paid and everything is divided.

My wife's parents died when she was a child. She might've gotten around $10K when they sold the house she grew up in and split it between kids. I think she used it for a car and school or something, but it's long gone by now.
