Family owned companies are great. Until you bring up stuff like paid paternity.
They tend to be behind the big companies with a lot of policies, even if they are capable of creative solutions to land good talent.
There’s good and bad. I’d rather work for a small company personally, all things equal, but some of the policies at big companies are super nice.
