Carolina and NYI both look really tough and are matched up with Boston/Washington, two really good teams who seem vulnerable. Carolina get s a rematch from last year’s playoffs.
Then Philly, perpetually searching for goaltending, gets Montreal and the best goalie so far who stole a series from the Flyers arch rivals.
Tampa is vulnerable too, potentially missing one or two of their top players to injury in Stamkos and Hedman. They get a rematch from last year’s crazy upset with CBJ or a division rival in Toronto who played really well against them at the end of this year (Leafs won both games vs TB that were played the in the couple weeks before the season got shutdown).
Except for Philly, assuming some injury trouble to TB, the top 4 seeds are all looking ripe for upsets and don’t even have the usual benefit of full home-ice advantage.
