It’s no coincidence that MLM is the sales model of choice for so many products

that carry dubious health and wellness claims. The model allows sales reps - as independent contractors - to say whatever they want about the product’s benefits, without legally attaching liability to the parent MLM. Grandma can tell you all about how essential oils cure cancer without getting DoTerra in trouble.

MLMs don’t start with a great product. They start with the business model. MLM companies just find some product to fit it.
