...but when my daughter was visiting different universities, USU blew away the rest she visited. She just setting it up through the school and dept in the field of study she was interested in.
They arranged for her to visit with a couple of professors in the dept and talk to her specifically about her interests, introduce her to how their program works, etc. Her friend, who went up at the same time, was interested in some of their Ag Science programs (big into horses) and ended up touring a couple of their facilities while they showed her what they were working on, some cloned animals, etc.
I would start there if I could - while the other stuff - like grabbing some ice cream or a favorite place for lunch - was nice, it was the tour and the personal touch provided by the university that sold it for my daughter.
