It's really "Parisians" that people are talking about.

Outside of Paris, I've found French people friendly and happy to talk to foreigners. You'd get the same impression of the U.S. if you'd only ever been to Manhattan.

(BTW, do you keep up with your French? Just curious, not judging one way or another.)
