I've got apple and google wanting me to pay for cloud storage. I've thought about and used large hard drives as one form of backup, but (i) it's not automatic (i.e., it's truly a pain to keep up to date), (ii) they can and will break, and (iii) they can get lost or destroyed.
I've got music I used to store on Google Play ('cuz it was free), but now that's morphed into YouTube Music and they want me to pay.
I've got photos on Amazon ('cuz it's free if you're already paying for Amazon Prime, which I am), but you've got to pay to store videos above a certain level, and I'm there.
Is it too much to ask to have one solution? Do you pay for cloud storage, and if so, with whom? Or do you do the hard drive thing?
