Hit Bearizona and the airport museum on your way in
That's what we did on a day trip, that and the pizza cafe at one of the lodges. It was so packed we only a couple of overlooks and got the kids junior ranger and saved the rest for another trip. Bearizona and the airport museum added flavor to the trip without the crowds.
