I would argue he's not the best player on his team. Murray has had some completely crazy games, where he's just taken over. But Jokic has been there every game, doing what Jokic does.
It bodes well for their future, though. They seem to have reached a different level, while they've been in the bubble. A lot of that comes back to Murray sort of finding his voice. If they can figure a consistent way to get MPJ into the regular rotation, watch out.
Jazz fans have not gone through anything like what Nuggets fans have gone through. They have had short stretches when they've been okay. The Doug Moe days were fun to watch, because they seemed to average 125-128 ppg for year after year after year. But that never really equated into playoff success. Then there were the Carmelo Anthony/Thuggets years. That meant solid seasons and first round exits most years. Framing those couple runs were years that were just atrocious - like, all-time bad NBA teams atrocious.
What I'm saying is that it's pretty exciting to project Nuggets basketball, and see the nucleus that at least theoretically could win a championship. We Nuggets fans are an insecure lot.
