Can we take a step away from the GOAT conversation to at least admit AD is
better than Lebron right now?

The Nuggets have realized it moving their best defender Jerami Grant to Anthony Davis.

Anthony Davis is most definitely the better defender of the two at this stage in their careers (AD is probably better than Lebron ever was, but we can save that conversation for another time).

Anthony Davis is also more dangerous offensively. He is the one taking the end of the game shot and he is the one who they go to when they need a big bucket.

Now this isn't to take anything away from Lebron, who at 35 years old is playing tremendously. He still has excellent court vision and the mentality that you need in the playoffs (AD does not have this).

But AD should be the best player in the world. His combination of athleticism, height and skill are unmatched in the NBA (he is Giannis with a much better jump shot, he just doesn't play as hard as Giannis imo).

On a related note: I truly believe this is Lebron's last hurrah as a top player in the league. This next year he will be 36 and worn down from this year (who knows how much off-season they will get, but not a lot). So he will be hard pressed to return the same in 7 months in the playoffs especially after a shortened season where I am sure they will pack a bunch of games together. Then after a normal off-season you are looking at 37. He has already lost a step, by then I think it will be two or three.
