Ever since I started doing my own laundry when I was in high school. I've always washed my whites and colors together.
Warm/Warm. I've NEVER seen colors bleed onto the the whites.
When we were still dating in college, my wife was at my apartment when I did some laundry and she saw this. She was disgusted and thought I was an animal. She was also very surprised to see that it all turned out ok.
