Closest member is ~1200 miles away.

That's the CLOSEST conference member. How would that be for football much less soccer, volleyball, golf, tennis, etc? Also, didn't you just say earlier that easier schedules make everyone happy? AAC would still not provide P5 benefits and BYU would certainly struggle there. So why not Conference USA if easier schedules and conference championships are the goal?
