...when the game is out of reach and coaches bring in the QB2 and 2nd string offense they're still letting them throw the ball and run the normal offense. In years past coaches called off the dogs at that point and just handed the ball off rather than let the backups get experience running the offense. I like to see us stay aggressive the full 60 minutes rather than for about 2 1/2 quarters we see good offense and then the last 1 1/2 quarters we just kill clock.

With us staying aggressive the full 60 mins we'll get to see our 2nd and 3rd string guys get meaningful reps and opportunities to showcase their skills. It was pretty cool seeing Miles Davis be a focal point of our 2nd string offense late in the 4th quarter vs Troy. He showed some nifty moves with the ball. Watching the new guys get a chance to play real football is sometimes as much fun as watching the #1 offense go at it. Our backups should get plenty of opportunity this year to shine and develop.
