LEDSFW Intervention Needed
Go back and look at Targeting Fouls in NCAA...
...a majority of them come when players tackle opponents that are shorter. It's why I brought it up. Being short is not necessarily an advantage at all. La Tech still has a number of skill players that are short. Our DBs and our LB's are mostly 6'/or taller. I nearly mentioned it because of the tendency. Maybe it's a stupid statistic, but one I've been keeping track of over the last 4 years. Perhaps its coincidental because its tracked over about 100 random games. But I believe the data/science is enough and there is a reason for why things tend to happen.

The shorter the skill player, the more likely they are to get struck at the neck/head area during a tackle. First rule of tackling, drive through the opponent's hips. Do that targeting can be avoided.

There coaches that think it's an issue.
