Corn Pop Intervention Needed
Might be trying to get a competitive advantage, maybe.
It’s not unusual for a rookie to come out of the hate strong, but then struggle once teams have a full scouting report on the pitches he likes, doesn’t like, and where he tends to hit the ball.

Certainly pros and cons to that approach. You would certainly worry about putting such a rookie in the field as he’d be ripe for errors with the added playoff stress, but he’d have an advantage at the plate.
