I'm not an expert but I did drive a Nascar car around a track once.the training

Talked alot about the Rpm in the engine. Once you are in the highest gear, for us it was 5th, the rpm then translated to speed. In 5th gear we were only allowed to go to 4500 rpm. Which got me to 140 mph. If you are in your highest gear 7000 rpm would get you in the 220+ range which is where they race.

It must just be the racer lengo they use
