They're not making any extra food. They're not going above and beyond for anything. Computers organize everything and the employee has to put the food in the bag or box and keep it together for that one person. Big whoop. Some people have one job which is putting the food in the bag and a lot of them can't even get that right.

It doesn't matter to the business. Your big order is more money. They'll take it how they can. The fact that people think a tip is necessary for something that's already their job is strange.
