I honestly don't blame HS/college QB for acting that way
Any other position you will get plenty of opportunity to play if you have the skills.
With the QB position timing is everything. A short injury or just bad timing can make it so you never get a chance to show your skills on the field. You could be the second best QB in the nation and never get a down.
