Off the top of my head I’d place the following above BYU...
Washington, Oregon, USC, ASU, Utah
Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State
Ohio State, Penn State, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin
Clemson, Notre Dame, UNC, Va Tech, Miami
Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee
Would you pick BYU to beat any of these teams? Would you expect BYU to be favored? The Cougars could pull an upset but all of these teams would win more often than not.
There are also numerous other teams that are maybe toss ups at best such as FSU, UCF, or LSU. I certainly wouldn’t bet on BYU beating these teams even if they are having a rough year.
Optimistically BYU is hopefully in the 25-35 range this year.
