the reality is that the expanded playoff should be 16 teams, and if you can't get thru that then you don't deserve the
NC.

Yeah, it's a tough haul. But that's also why it shouldn't be less than 16 teams that everyone has to play equally.

And it doesn't have to be difficult.

SEC 1 v SEC 2
PAC 1 v PAC 2
BIG10 1 v BIG 10 2
BIG 12 1 v BIG 12 2
ACC 1 v ACC 2
AAC Champ v MWC Champ
Sun Champ v Indy 1 (top ranked in Top 16)
Conf-USA v At-large (#2 Indy if in Top 16)

The G5 teams have to play and win their conference championships to get into the dance. #1 Indy with Top 16 ranking.

All the P5 play their conference championship as the first round. (in my opinion, if a team like Ga beats Alabama in the Championship, they earn their way in, but I don't see why both teams that late in the season should get in when I believe every conference should be represented for a NATIONAL championship)

Now, the other thing you can do is just take all those teams and get rid of P5 conference champ games. And, this means that both the P5 league teams that are in need to both be ranked in the TOP 16 ior they are out and opens another at-large (for maybe the team that was in the same division as Alabama, but

And then seed the 16 teams as you want. I'm good with that. I have no problem with Alabama playing Carolina Coastal as a 1 and 16 or Ohio State playing Liberty as a 2 -15. Again, you gotta play to win.

And many will say we know the inevitable result of those games. Maybe, Maybe not. But everyone is invited to the dance and gets a fair chance. They all get TV money, and after 3-4 years, I think a little parity might begin.
