...shots at elk while deer hunting.

I'm not sure what the issue is - it's the same general area and we see both animals all the time. During the muzzleloader hunt this year we saw a few buck - my brother dropped a good one. We also saw some absolutely HUGE elk. One group we were able to watch 3-4 different evenings just sitting in camp maybe half-mile away that had 3-4 good size bulls roaming around it that the herd bull kept chasing off.
