Yes and Yes. You never know the circumstances that could come
to your wife after you are gone. What if your wife has an incapacitating injury herself or unexpected medical bills? or high medical bills related to your death if was something with very high expenses? She could burn through a lot of that money quickly if medical bills came along as part of your demise.
