Wait until you realize that Idaho was a member of the Pac 12's predecessor...
the Pacific Coast Conference. When Idaho joined the conference in 1922, the conference consisted of Cal, Stanford, Washington, Wazzu, Oregon, OSU, USC, and Idaho. The conference added Montana and UCLA in 1924 and 1928. The Pacific Coast Conference existed until 1959, when (surprise) a pay-for-play scandal erupted at USC, UCLA, Cal, and Washington and the conference basically imploded.
