My nine year old asked me if we are rich now because we have a block of
Parmigiano-Reggiano in our fridge.

It got me thinking, what things, when I was her age, did I think meant people were rich?

For me it was Cable TV, Nike shoes, dry cleaning. I thought my friends who had cable TV and whose parents had their clothes dry cleaned were wealthy.

What things did you think meant people were wealthy now when you look back on it seems silly?

Kind of reminds me of when I was with a friend of mine and his son. We were driving an older car of mine. (cruiserhead, Oct 22, 2020 at 12:58pm)
