against really solid (& usually deep) teams was not something we had going for us.
Our guys were talented scorers & a really mature group of players who stuck to their offensive sets, played gritty--however pedestrian--defense, & made the extra pass. But not only were we not gifted with height & length, we were not an athletic group either. Certainly not by the Dance's standards.
Hey, I think it's great so many media commentators fell in love with us. We played the right way & were a fun team to watch. But contrary to the opinion of some of their louder talkin heads, we were NOT a likely Cinderella team last March.
If it weren't true, there's no way we would've gotten ourselves exposed in the end by a club with an even shallower rotation then what we had.
