Not sure why the University VP would get involved. I think it's primarily
between the AD and the head coach.
I compiled some quotes/tweets from Holmoe a few weeks ago on his commentary between the "traditional" uniforms and the "alternate" uniforms. Take a look:
Sounds like Holmoe feels strongly about the issue, in that he only wants to do alternate colors on occasion (e.g. black, pink, etc.). Also, the way he talks about it, it sounds like he's a main decision-maker, if not the main decision-maker, for uniform colors.
