BYU has struggled to have strength/talent/experience across the team. When you have a missionary program this is crazy hard, and then you add coaching changes and injuries esp at Qb or the skill positions, it's hard to get continuity and good experience.

BYU has had some strong areas, but there's always something missing. Our DL has struggled for so long & we've almost always been weak at corner. Our OL has had its ups and downs and that influences the play of the QB, RBs and WRs. It's been nice to see our QB flourish because our WRs are good, our OL is good which makes our RBs good. We're also seeing Oldroyd shining and feel confident the guy can be reliable when we get into some close games. Haven't felt that great about a kicker in a while. Also imagine if Bushman were playing! Everything came together for that 96 team - in terms of Offense and defense & it's very rare. We should enjoy this season as long as we can.
