I believe he said no blackouts this season
I don't think he was saying ever, it was his twitter post for what to wear to games this season and fans asked if there was going to be a black out this season.
I imagine it is greatly influenced by the cost, prior blackout helmets were not painted, a whole set of home helmets in black probably costs about 35K, that expense isn't going to happen this year.
