You may have misunderstood me. I'm only judging on what I saw, which was a very small sample size.
In those few runs, he missed some holes. That's what I meant when I said he needs more reps--or more chances to carry the ball. I think he'll be fine too, but he didn't look quite there yet in the few chances he got. That's all I meant.
I just barely watched the Boise State snap2tackle game, where he looked fantastic, and that's what I compared to. I hope we get to see more of that--again, I think we will.

He didn't seem to have the burst or the vision he had last year. But he needs more reps. I think he'll get there.

How on earth could you possibly know that when he got like 5 carries in garbage time during the game. He will be fine.
