That is the difference in having a body of work that to me nullifies the weak opponent argument
You can say that the first 5 opponents for BYU have winning records or at worst even records after 5-7 weeks of games they have played. That says they arent as cupcake against equal competition to their level.
Yes BYU's schedule is not world class, but at 6 games in and with only 1 poor game you can say BYU is a good team with proven results
BSU played 1 game and that's it. Now after AFA if they win and win big you can begin to say they are a good team but for now the weak opponent holds weight for BSU more than BYU
