I think if Yoeli were no different than he is now — but had a much better midrange game (including a more fluid release & more air under his jumper — as well as a significantly higher shooting percentage) — that Yoeli could make it as a backup 4 in the NBA, I believe. Unfortunately, Yoeli can't guard the 3 in the NBA, & so has no shot of masquerading as a wing player like Davies was able to for a short season.
Honestly, I just hope that Yoeli gets to Europe as fast as possible & gets to work. There's great opportunities over there for him. No cause for him to see this juncture in his career as one of failure or limitation. The sky's still the limit for him in my mind. Knowing Yoeli, I expect that's just what he'll do, in fact.
