And I see penalties, drops, and missed opportunities on every drive
Either the defense gets a stop or they don't. Heaven knows there were plenty of chances for BYU when Houston was starting on their own 2.
Perhaps if BYU had regularly stymied Houston throughout the game I'd write that drive off as a fluke. But Houston had dominated BYU's D in the 2nd quarter, and I just can't write off their very next (very long and very impressive) drive as luck/a gift from the refs.
