She knows she’s got a problem. Probably a psychological issue if it’s that bad.
I wouldn’t try to point out the obvious as much as try to find an appropriate moment to offer your support and share your concern for her as someone who loves her.
She will be encouraged if she knows that the people around her are rooting for her. A lot of people like this don’t try because they fear their friends and family will mock them if they try and fail.
