The best pair of pants that I have ever owned are Black Diamond's Modernist pants.

They look really nice. Nice enough that if I wear a polo or dress shirt with them, people don't know I'm not wearing slacks. They also look awesome more casually with a t-shirt or whatever. They are so comfortable you can sleep in them like pajamas (they're more comfortable than my pajamas). They are rugged enough to wear hiking and scrambling boulders. They are so free moving that you can rock climb in them.

The only down side is that they only come in 2 colors. I love these pants.
