Monday received a credit card in the mail from a bank we don’t have an account with. Called their fraud number, turns out someone filed an unemployment claim for my husband. This card was how it was going to be paid. 2 days later of filing reports and freezing credit and unraveling this mess, we figure out the claim was from Ohio. A place we have never lived in much less worked in.

Turns out you need very little info to do this claim, it was filed online with basic info. To get everything fixed we have to send them a whole list of identification. SS card, dl, birth certificate, proof of residency. Seems like maybe they should have asked the first guy for this stuff.

So stupid.
