While running errands this morning we saw the line of Starbucks on 11505 S 4000 W wrapped around the parking lot and out into the street. I have never seen a drive-thru line that long (and I tried to go to Shake Shack when it first opened in Utah).

My daughter texted a friend who worked there (asking if there was some new drink people are going crazy over)... and the friend said most of the South West SL Valley Starbucks are closed due to COVID.

Stores close, employees find other jobs... the store has a hard time reopening. It sounds like that particular Starbucks and one in a Smiths are the only ones open right now in the area 🙂

My daughter's friend said that people are getting so angry that the police are normally called once or twice a day. I guess employees are quitting because they don't want to deal with the mad-rush of people and their attitudes which makes the situation even worse.

Winter 2020 is going to be hard on the caramel macchiato crowd.
