They know that as a CFP committee they know it as a conference and they know it as teams and administrators. They are all in a free fall financially and are trying to triage their budgets and their own jobs and honestly the jobs of their friends and families in these athletic departments. They will talk nice, be complimentary to us but there is nothing BYU can do to qualify for their club or a piece of there $. It doesn’t matter who else we schedule, they will discount and excuse us without any hesitation or guilt. They will honor their contractual obligation to a G5 but every other $ is coming home to the family. You can’t blame them, they built the perfect structure to take care of themselves.
