even debatable they'd do much the reality is they'll always be walked all over. One drawback to having the
LDS church still owns BYU is that ultimately they will avoid conflict or any controversy at all costs unless it's
doctrinal and even then they are really really careful. I think back in the 80's and before the Church was a little
less caring PR wise what the world thinks. That's not the case anymore. So I get the PR game, but right now
it's killing the football team.

It was frustrating back in the 90's during the 1996 campaign. There was a conspiracy to keep BYU out of the
Bowl Alliance and everyone knew it. We even beat a solid Kansas State team in the bowl game. Didn't matter.
Losing that Hawaii game was incredibly stupid on our end though.
