B/c everyone knew Utah would be playing them. No $$ to pay for added testing, travel expenses & there would never
be a game for BYU. UW & BYU tried but the insane PAC rules made it impossible to get done.

He didn’t say that. Just a bad rumor by someone at UW. If he was waiting on anything it was to see if UT/ASU would go.
