They were in talks. There was enough chance of playing to warrant practicing.
They were trying to get consent from PAC to agree to reasonable terms. PAC wouldn’t bend. With that said, no team should accept the PAC terms. It wasn’t really an offered game but just an offer to be on standby while bearing all the risk & expense.

Here’s the big question, BYU had nothing lined up for this weekend. Why not accept UW? Testing protocols? It was a miss.

He didn’t say that. Just a bad rumor by someone at UW. If he was waiting on anything it was to see if UT/ASU would go.
