PortlandCoug Intervention Needed
BYU got screwed by the CFP committee but if you can't acknowledge that BYU
messed up a little as well that doesn't mean people are just looking to criticize BYU. Lots of fans wanted BYU to be more aggressive with getting a better opponent on the schedule which as of yet has not happened. While I don't personally have any evidence that BYU/Holmoe didn't try to do this, all signs point to BYU seemingly being okay with the current schedule. BYU also allowed its starting QB to send the message that it was willing to play any team any time but then simultaneously allowed its players to go home for Thanksgiving. That may seem like a petty complaint but as a lot of programs are playing this weekend it just sort of smacks of BYU not really being serious about looking for games.

The point is if BYU was truly looking for games, once the Pac-12 announced their OOC policy wouldn't you expect BYU to be on that like white on rice? Instead we get a very mellow message from Tom about waiting it out and then BYU not being ready for Washington's offer to play (albeit a bad offer). Just saying BYU's actions don't exactly paint a picture of BYU going to the mattresses to find quality opponents to play.
