Being snubbed this season helps BYU in future years
BYU came out of nowhere this season and the committee is skeptical that this season isn't a fluke. If BYU continues to win, the committee will start to treat BYU with more respect.
Of course, the committee is hoping that Zach Wilson going to the NFL will end BYU's run and this won't be a conversation in the coming seasons.
