There is no game that can be scheduled that will change anything. Period.
So let's stop with the 'well let's schedule x, or y, or z'. It's false hope and pointless.
Clemson, ND, Ohio State, Bama, Oklahoma, A&M, Miami, USC, GA, etc. etc. etc. ain't going to play us. They have no reason to and they won't.
Cincy is not going to play us. They have NOTHING to gain and EVERYTHING to lose.
And no other team than the others listed above will move the needle on our final ranking at all. For instance, let's say BYU plays and hammers Liberty. It. Doesn't. Matter. No one cares about Liberty. It will not meaningfully change our rankings.
So, yeah, it's done. It's over. New Mexico or Vegas Bowl it is. Just go and beat SDSU 80-0 and then hammer UTEP in the bowl game and realize our lot in life is the 2nd tier of college football.
